London is a city in the south of England. The name of this beautiful city in Roman times was Londinium. The population in Roman times was 45,000 but the population now is 7,5 millions.

In London there are some streets with the name of very famous people and names with very important facts. For example:

-Trafalgar Square ( Battle of Trafalgar).

-Victoria Street ( Queen Victoria ).

The people of London are called Londoners or “Cockneys”. Famous Cockneys are Charlie Chaplin (actor) and Arthur Conan Doyle (writer of Sherlock Holmes stories).
